In this class, learners will be introduced to simple bookmaking where they can learn to use the books for various topics they are learning about. The topics we will cover are where good writers get their ideas, kinds of books we can read and write, creating our books, choosing a theme, illustrating, and writing. This class is a fun introductory to creative bookmaking and inspirational storytelling. All learners will be actively engaged and have fun while learning.
My teaching style is animated and positive. I am a certified teacher and have worked with students of all ages, so my goal is to make learning fun! Learners will get to engage with other participants throughout the class. We will use each other's ideas to inspire creativity and the writing process.
Learners will need to have a basic knowledge of letter formation and sounds. They will also need to be able to use scissors and glue. Parental support is ok, but the goal is to help learners become independent.
